Some teams just ride unsustainable runs of fortune. Good Red Zone defense is not negatively correlated with defense between the 20s. As you no doubt saw from the graphic, no team has ever given up more yardage while giving up under 20 PPG.

This team is like the 2006 Bears, '94 Chargers, 2001 Patriots, and several others that I'm likely forgetting. All average teams, but they had enough good fortune that they could survive over a small sample size.

Pittsburgh had the ball for 20 of 30 possible minutes because our offense can't stay on the field, and the defense held them to 12 points. That's a Herculean effort, IMO.

JH was clearly trying to fool the Steelers on the blitz by taking our best pass rusher and putting him into coverage against Pitt's best receiver (a stupid idea for a scheme that < 10 people on planet Earth would think is a good idea)

Jah Reid just got beat and beat bad. That's one guy against another and the Steeler's player winning.

We looked great when we used Hill as a decoy and a target and were misdirecting every play. When we started going into a conventional look we became the same simple offense that lost to Houston, Tampa, and Tennessee...

Their playing their best guys from the O & D on the coverage units. Clearly they're also playing confident while our guys seem so worried about making a mistake they're psyching themselves out
