Yahoo Sports podcast with Nate Tice looked at the snaps when Rapp was out and the Bills had to play Bishop and they graded as basically the worst defense in football by EPA/play. It was somethin like 250 snaps of sample size

Damar Hamlin can be "got" in coverage and rookie Cole Bishop has had problems in coverage.

I think it's a fairly big deal. If the Bills commit to flooding the short area of the field to try and give their pass rush time to get home, and limit YAC, you're putting those S in much more precarious spots, especially against a team like the Chiefs that can put two real speed merchants out there with Brown and Worthy.

I think it will make 11 sets really tough for them to defend. If they play zone, Mahomes-Kelce-Hopkins are pretty tough to consistently defend. If they play man and leave single high or even split safeties deep, you've got a pair of S back there who don't excel in coverage AND who haven't played together a lot.

It's possible they use backup NB Cam Lewis as the second safety, too. But Taron Johnson, the primary NB, is also pretty dinged up and has an injury it wouldn't be take much to re-injure...

It's not apples to apples but the feeling I am getting is very similar to last year when you look at the Chiefs O and Bills D, and it's just hard to see how they're going to be able to contain the passing game.

Only, and I mean the only way, is if their DL just absolutely wrecks shit. I don't think they can on the road here. I believe the Bills will need at least 30 to win, and that's not happening.

They've never been able to handle our offense in the postseason even when they had the duo of Poyer and Hyde.

Bishop and Hamlin will be ugly.

Had the same exact thought. They struggled against us when they had a great duo.

When you combine the possiblity of Benford being out with Johnson and Milano being banged up, this offense should be able to outscore the Bills with our defense.

If our Oline holds up there should be no reason we don't win.

and there's absolutely no reason this Dline should push our Olines shit in either.

The Bills are a completely different defense on the road this year.

35 against the Ravens
44 against the Rams
42 against the Lions
23 against a struggling Texans offense with a recovering Dell and no Mixon

This may have been the most important year to get the 1 seed. It feels really nice getting to play this game at home.

What does that 2nd paragraph mean though?

Are they going to over-penalize the Chiefs to make it more "fair"?

Zero chance.

If they suddenly start flagging the Chiefs left and right with THIS crew, then this confirms everyone's stupid narrative; that certain crews are assigned to benefit KC.

No way the NFL does this. They will have this crew call it just like the other crews call it to show no 'certain' crew shows favoritism to the Chiefs over another.

There were most likely assigned to satisfy the masses and for people to drop the pre-conceived notions going into it.

I'm not worried having this crew will affect the Chiefs in any major way negatively.

Because the NFL has a LOT more to lose than the Chiefs if it does.

Oh I totally agree. I was just asking for clarification because it sounds outlandish.

Also having multiple weeks to get healthier while other teams got more banged up.

Resurrected by football Jesus. This is why they will win the SB, not Allen.

Bullshit. We'll play them in a Walmart parking lot.
