I mean the rental car company owner. It would be dumb to not be insured for that type of stuff

Would that we all had insurance from irresponsible men.

He shoudn't go to jail at all when we look at all the criminals and murderers that run around this nation getting nothing. Especially the rich assholes in you know where.

He should pay damages, and insurance should pay for whatever.

It would certainly be a little odd to do it after so long, but who knows?

Never discount the shield doing something beyond logic.

The closer we get to the season the more likely if he’s suspended it will be next year

He isn’t even charged yet

There’s no record on the website

But it still could be in the DAs desk.

So

They should delay any possible suspension til at least 2035

Yes. Suspension coming right before a playoff game with the Bills. Just like everything else they do for Buffalo.

The NFL's strong precedent is that unless there is damning evidence - like video stuff - they will wait until the legal process plays out before levying punishment.

Never say never, but it would be out of pattern to susped Rice before his criminal trial is resolved, one way or the other.

Considering the league's lack of action on Jalen Carter (and how no one talks about the incident anymore) for the same type of thing, where two of his friends were injured and burned alive while he ran away from the scene, it's hard to worry TOO much about Rice.

I mean, it's not like he destroyed a vaccuum, guys!

Jalen Carter had the ultimate loophole. He was not in college and he was not a member of the NFL either. He was in between those two places, so nobody could discipline him other than the government...and they chose to let him off the hook.
