Worst hunting season I've ever experienced. The highlight of the year was the antelope I shot in October. 1st 4 weeks, I couldn't go because of my broken hand. Missed deer season completely. Then there was finally 3 weeks of decent weather and we did ok, (phesant). Then, right before Xmas, the blizzard moves in and no hunting until last week.
Went out today and it was ****ing amateur day in the field, (last weekend of the season) I ran into a group of 25 guys walking a field right in front of my dad and I. They knew we were there 1st but didn't give a shit and cut us off. Then their ****ing reeruned dogs, (labs I think) tried to fight with my Brittanys. My dad had to break up the fight, (with the butt of his beretta to the dogs head, didn't hurt the dog, just scared it.)
Douchebags like this piss me off, 25 guys covering every inch of the field throwing lead all over the place. The birds have no chance. No wonder the phesant population is having problems.
Man, 3 months until turkey season, I can't wait.
