I've been there. I remember how freaking ecstatic I was when Parcells came to the Patriots. Heck, I remember thinking "wow, he wants to work for us. Why would anyone? Maybe he wants a challenge. Who freaking cares -- we just got BILL PARCELLS!!!!"

And let's be clear, you're not a rival team. If Pioli was going to the Broncos, I'd want his plane to crash into the Rockies before he arrived. I have no problem with the Chiefs.

So what makes the donks a rival and not us? because we have been sucking?

Well, they are now my second favorite AFC team. It helps that I despise half of the AFC already.

Like: Chiefs, Browns (until last week)

Could care less about: Many

Dislike: Steelers

HATE: Raiders, Dungver, Jets, Dolphins, and Colts.

I used to like the Chargers but their whining after we beat them a couple years ago ticked me off a bit. I still don't hate them though.

Never liked them. Never liked Elway. Never liked the fact that they seemed to beat us EVERY freaking time we played (which is true, I think we never won a game over something ridiculous -- a 20 year period or whatever).

Didn't like the cut blocking. Mecklenberg was overrated, etc. etc.

When the Chiefs were good, the Patriots were irrelevant, but I never remember disliking the Chiefs.

Chargers is used to like, alot. I was a big fan of Air Coryell. Now I don't much care about them. To much whining when we kept beating them. Just like the Steelers actually, but our rivalry with the Steelers goes back farther.

I would have liked Marino and the Dolphins except they were in our division. That made it impossible.

Jets are in New York. STeelers and Colts I never minded until our rivalry of the last 8 or whatever years.

I think I am going to take some pills where I would sleep for 3 weeks then wake up to know about this Pioli shit. It's much easier than checking every single freaking sports website, refreshing this thread ever and ever again.

I swear to god I would wake up in the midst of my sleep for nothing else but to check sports.yahoo.com and this thread to see if we tagged this sucker.

Okay gang, as many of you know I still have friends at the highest level in the Chiefs organization and have this info to share with full confidence: Scott Pioli is the new GM. His announcement will come Thursday or Friday at the latest. Clark and Scott are working out the finer points of his contract tonight (money & control), but the deal is sealed. Also, Clark informed Herm Edwards and his coaching staff that they will be released. All assistants can reapply through Scott.

I only share this information because I'm no longer with the team and it's fun to share that a new day is dawning at Arrowhead. Scott Pioli will quickly move to clean out the front office and hire a new coach.

The only info I have on the new coach is it will not be Kirk Ferentz from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kirk coaches his son at Iowa and does not want to leave until his son graduates.

Mike Shanahan has contacted Pioli, but I don't know any info beyond that.
