Well, i wish WPI would release some premium article proclaiming the arrival of Sir Scott Pioli and his House Cleaning Train. Or at least say it's not going to happen at all...

That way we'd know what's going to happen by just accepting the opposite as fact.

(hands him contract)

Bob: "Five million. OUch. Bill?

Belichick: "It's your money, but you know what I think of him."

Bob: "Ok, five million it is. Tell the Chiefs to ____ off."

Scott: "Ok. I like lobster more than BBQ anyway."

:p

As if it's about money. He wants a promotion and he won't get one in NE.

I worry that Nick will no longer have "inside" sources at Arrowhead
should I cancel my premium membership with out leaks it's worthless
or have confindence he can call in the leak peaker

To be honest, you guys are so desperate for him to go there and get you guys on the right track that I find myself half rooting for him to go, and then waking up and saying "WTF am I thinking, I'm a Patriots fan!! Get your head out of your arse!"

:)

That's true, but the rumor was that both errr....Seattle, was it, and the Giants offered him football control in the past few years and he always just stayed iwth us.

To be honest, nobody knows exactly what it will take to dislodge him from the Pats.

I know it's a done deal because I was with Pioli's wife's cousin down in Wichita getting a blumpkin and she said it was a done deal.

And doesnt NE have someone waiting in the wings?
I can't think of his name, but he's been getting primed to take Pioli's spot for quite sometime now. maybe Kraft will think its time to make a move within as well and not stop Pioli?

Interesting take on Pioli from the Boston Globe chat area:

Update from someone inside the Chiefs organization!
Submitted by Rocky Alden on January 7, 2009 - 6:13pm.

Okay gang, as many of you know I still have friends at the highest level in the Chiefs organization and have this info to share with full confidence: Scott Pioli is the new GM. His announcement will come Thursday or Friday at the latest. Clark and Scott are working out the finer points of his contract tonight (money & control), but the deal is sealed. Also, Clark informed Herm Edwards and his coaching staff that they will be released. All assistants can reapply through Scott.

I only share this information because I'm no longer with the team and it's fun to share that a new day is dawning at Arrowhead. Scott Pioli will quickly move to clean out the front office and hire a new coach.

The only info I have on the new coach is it will not be Kirk Ferentz from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kirk coaches his son at Iowa and does not want to leave until his son graduates.

Mike Shanahan has contacted Pioli, but I don't know any info beyond that.

lol, it has been a while.

pretty sad, isn't it?

we've become so pathetic that rival fans actually feel a little sorry for us. :sulk:

Well, Pats lost Dimitroff last year. He went to Atlanta and started to resurrect that franchise. Had a very solid draft -- not just Ryan.

Someone moved from the coaching ranks to mid-senior guy on the draft/personnel side last year, and the rumor is he might be the guy tapped. Pats HIGHLY value having the coaches and the scouts/GM very closely aligned. The scouts need to know what OUR team wants, not what the average team wants, or what might look great in another system. What works in OUR system.

I've been there. I remember how freaking ecstatic I was when Parcells came to the Patriots. Heck, I remember thinking "wow, he wants to work for us. Why would anyone? Maybe he wants a challenge. Who freaking cares -- we just got BILL PARCELLS!!!!"

And let's be clear, you're not a rival team. If Pioli was going to the Broncos, I'd want his plane to crash into the Rockies before he arrived. I have no problem with the Chiefs.
