1 1/2 games and a weeks worth of reps with the starters is not indicative of what Foles is capable of. Having a neutered running game and O line injuries doesn't help either. The 2nd half play calling was atrocious and reflective of trying to protect a lead and get out versus going for the jugular. It's the Andy Reid way. I'm glad Smiff is coming back, for real! But Foles is a great backup with the potential to be the best QB on the roster. Honest hot take right there.

.. and I'd be open to the concept that Foles could get better as time goes along.. but just as open to the possibility that he gets even worse. Again.. imagine if those two easy INTs he threw were actually held onto. He took a couple of hard shots too. We really can't say how bad his already unstable mechanics would get if he endured game after game of them.

There's just too many unknowns about what whether he would rise up or shrivel down... and we know what we have with Smith. A very good... I'll say it... elite.. track record... for winning games.
