I really hate the offseason sometimes

Such a silly discourse.

The Eagles aren't world champions this year without drafting Mitchell, DeJean, and Nolan Smith. That's where they took the next step and became the #1 defense.

You could throw Carter in there too.

I don't really have to convince anyone of anything to be honest, the Chiefs have always been a budget team, that's reality.

Probably has more to do with the garbage practice facility.

Build a new state of the art practice facility.

Ticket prices increase.

Bitching ensues.

They're already one of the most expensive tickets in the league ROFL

Why would that be?

pugsnotdrugs19 02-20-2025 11:12 AM

Chiefs have the highest paid coaching staff in the league.

Cause they're good, so they can get away with it, they've already priced out a large number of people I'd assume.

Clark is cheap with facilities no doubt about it. I do wonder if he’s saving the money from extra playoff games and revenue to move towards the payment of the renovations for Arrowhead as well as a passing vote to know where to even put money for the future facilities.

But I cannot for the life of me commend doing what the Eagles are doing. It would completely wreck our chances of consistency.

In fact I really like his contract styles. Getting our from Jawaan Taylor for example with minimal damage for a year is infinitely better than lowering his cap hits and paying that money in 2027 and 2028 when he’s not here anymore

Lmao.

Creed Humphrey just set the record for center contracts. Jawaan Taylor got 80 million. Chris Jones got paid. Frank Clark had an absolutely ludicrous contract.

Mathieu was what, 42 million over 3, and Sammy Watkins 48 million over 3?

The Chiefs under Brett veach have not been a budget team.

Always happy to tell more successful people than them how to spend their money.

Now we see the violence inherent in the system, eh Komrades?

I think we spend a lot of time telling the Dewitt's to quit being so cheap in the Cardinals thread. Does that make us commies?

There is a salary cap in the NFL. I've noticed the Chiefs spending every $ available legally in the cap. Veach built Mahomes contract to be able to free up money as needed. He gave new or extended contracts to Veach, Reid and Donovan a year or two ago. Thats not being cheap. The jury finds Hunt not guilty of being a cheap ass owner.

I think thats about forcing the local politicians to pony up the new money for the stadium. Look see how bad out the practice facilities are, you need to give us a Billion $'s to fix it.

So how do we explain Clark Hunt being ranked near the bottom of all owners for the second year in a row on the NFLPA player survey? I don't expect him to be ranked top 5 or 10, I don't really think that matters at all. But when the Chiefs are ranked near the bottom several years in a row it's pretty damning. The next survey should probably be coming out in the next week or two, not going to look very good on Hunt's part if the players yet again show a poor opinion of him and his organization.
