Well, there went an afternoon. Some guy I've never heard of and never met applied the wrong mask to two directories and so I get to drive downtown tomorrow so I can visit my server and run one f**king command.

Basically he screwed up the permissions on a file and now nobody can get into their computer remotely. A bunch of us applied a security update and now we're shafted. Sucks to be us.

Yeah, well I've been sitting on a couch for three hours watching a monitor with hands turning the pages of a Friday's menu with the pages all blue-screened out.

At least there's food and magazines. And wireles 'net.

Yeah well... I'm leaving to go skiing on Friday.
