His teenager-like social media posts have gotten old, and I am apathetic to trading him now. The time to trade him would have been before the draft for help this year, but maybe it's time to explore what they can get.
It's funny, a year ago at this time, many believed he'd be a salary cap casualty unless he reworked his deal. He was a good player on a bad-average defense. Last year he blew up and had a great season that made his enormous cap hit worth keeping around. Regarding his holdout: If he misses the rest of the preseason, he will potentially lose 6.1 million. That's a lot of money he won't make back. LINK |

I thought he was reporting to camp on Monday?

These cryptic tweets confuse the hell out of me.
But to be honest, all tweets confuse the hell out of me. |
Have to love the multiple FB posts pointing to a trade to Denver.

Personally I fell in love with Danny Shelton during the game yesterday, so I'm really turning apathetic towards Chris Jones.

That's a joke - but also kind of not a joke.
If we had even one player that could push the pocket up the middle, I think I'd be ok with trading Jones. Nandi and *fill in the blank* aren't getting any push. Maybe we can move *insert player here* from LB to DT? |

The fate of Chris Jones 2023 edition
Really starting to to think he’s going to hold out the year and we get nothing for him
He’s lost too much money already not to make it a realistic possibility Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He has $20MM reasons to play this season. |
