https://i.imgur.com/Zh2T0z1.png You were also the 4th top poster in the last thread. But yeah... it is definitely me that needs the self-reflection to determine why this situation with Rashee triggers them so much. https://i.imgur.com/ai1GZC8.png |
You guys should kiss.

The fact you are so impacted by what he did… do some self-reflection as to why it triggers you so much. |

And no matter how many times you use the term "Supercar" it doesn't make it worse than if he was in a Honda Civic. You never acted a fool in a "supercar" because you never had one and never will but if you did when you were 22 you would have been a moron I am certain of it because well..... What's wild is you can see what Rice and his buddies did every single weekend in every major city and in probably almost every medium sized city in the US. There are videos all over twitter of idiots doing worse on the regular. Its epically stupid for sure especially considering who Rice is and what he is risking career wise, but its not remotely close to being "rare". Sorry if I am having a hard time getting motivated to find my pitchfork and torch and head to the big rally over this knowing what actually happened vs what "could" have happened. |

"Says the person who openly admits to not being able to root for Rashee moving forward." Wanting him held accountable doesn't mean I won't root for the guy. He is young and has plenty of time to get his life sorted... and he is a Chief. I'm definitely going to be rooting for the guy. I'm rooting for him right now (for him to get his shit sorted so he can be a contributor to this team for the next 10 years) There ya go, liar. |

Do you drive? If yes… you never had to break suddenly? You never cut someone off, even by mistake? |

So yes, you have endangered others with your driving. |

You have seriously never driven over 100 mph on a highway in your life? Do you mean to tell me that there hasn't ever been a time that you were excited to get to some cross-town goat pussy that you decided to ignore the speed limit? I don't believe you. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
But one could argue the "Supercar" is better equipped to handle being driven that way...... |
Quote:
First... a GMC Sierra can't even hit 120. To get to it's top speed from 70 would take about a 2/3 mile run up going flat out for a GMC Sierra v8 to reach 108. The Urus will do 70 to 120 in about 2.5 seconds. Second... it seems you think I am using the term Supercar as a scare tactic like people call the AR an "Assault Weapon". I'm not. I'm using the term, correctly, to describe the intense speed the car is capable of in short spaces. Quote:
I don't **** around like that. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
I'm using those numbers for a reason. 70 is the speed limit on that stretch of road and 120 is the speed he was going. |

Not willingly endangering the lives of others makes me a pussy. LOL I wish there were more pussies in the world then. |
If you've never driven a 100MPH in a Ford Taurus with a cheeseburger in one hand and a large fry in the other while steering with your knees, you're pretty much a pussy.

Holy shit, **** it, nevermind I'm done with this argument. I forgot how absolutely reeruned you can get. Its my fault for starting the convo with you to begin with. Have a good day and I hope you don't break your neck climbing down off that cross. You need to take the wood and build a bridge and get over it. |
L.A metro. has stretches of 75mph where millions of cars go 85 without punishment and 95 routinely.
It's fast and dangerous but not so uncommon. |
Quote:
Speed isn't the major issue in this case. |
🙄

Just so you know, NOBODY here in Texas drives the speed limit on a freeway. 85 is probably the common speed. And even when going 85, someone will always come up and blow right by like you were doing 45 or something. I know 120 is far from that, but I'm just saying. The last time I went to KC I was baffled by how almost everyone drove the speed limit. Quote:
edit: I just saw this. Yup, verified by me. |

You are absolutely using the term "supercar" as a scare tactic. There is literally no other reason to even bring up the term in this conversation. It has zero to do with what happened and will have zero to do with any punishment Rice receives. Sorry about your wife. I can see how losing someone like that could definitely skew your view in regards to reckless driving and accidents. |

Driving fast and getting in a wreck sucks, but it happens. Crashing your car, grabbing your duffle bag full of assault rifles, forgetting your weed, and just walking away like nothing happened is the bigger problem.
Allegedly |

Blinkers aren't even used, WTF are you talking about? |
Quote:
You’ll find there are studies that estimate that for every 10k miles you drive your chances of being in a car accident are around 3%. So you think a 1 in 20 chance seems like good odds that you’d sign up for? We should be okay with driving conditions created that are more in line with the risks you’d face driving 15k miles? The above is admittedly a super crude way to look about it, but yeah, 5% chance seems really high and one that I wouldn’t sign up for. And neither would you I’m sure. |
Quote:
Road head makes it way too hard to concentrate. THAT is being reckless. *feels me veer back into the lane* "Babe, you need to pay attention to the road or I'm going to stop" "WTF, how can I pay attention to the road?" LMAO |
Quote:
Other than... I'm not. Ok though... what if I stop saying super car and instead say the much longer yet ultimately saying the same thing... "he was driving a car that was capable of doing 70 to 120 MPH in 2.5 seconds". Would me taking out that one word make it better for you. Because I will. Here ya go. ---- I haven't done 120 in a 70, in a Can't say I have done that. But yeah Marcellus... Rice is just a kid that was doing a little bit of speeding, right!?! Boys will be boys... AMIRITE?!?!?! -- Lets pay attention to the important aspects of this situation which is my use of the word Supercar and not him doing 120 in a 70, wrecking, making multiple aggressive maneuvers to get through traffic, and fleeing the scene of an accident. Yup... my use of the word Supercar to describe the abilities of the car is the real issue here. |
I sure do enjoy this safe road where nobody is taking a 5% chance of endangering me!

But seriously, if someone has a 1 in 20 chance of causing death or serious bodily harm to you or a family member because they were, for instance, in this hypothetical driving over 100… I mean you want to drag race on a presumably empty road… But leave the rest of us out of it. If it was me making the laws and or jury. |
Driving while elderly is a serious issue. At some point, they need to not drive at night and not drive on the interstate. Maybe the corner grocery store is unlikely to injure anyone and at some point, hopefully someone takes their license away.
But the fact there are other injuries and fatalities doesn’t justify driving 100+ and weaving through traffic. Driverless cars can’t come too soon Not that I’m optimistic. |

It's not just speed, it has more control and maneuverability too. It's actually much safer. |

Look guys, I don’t care if a player does stupid shit. I’ve looked past lots of shit as long as the guys helps us win games. I will root for rashee just as much as I did before this.
But cmon now. You can’t just casually dismiss that this was reckless shit that most of us would do. I drive fast on the highway. I’m guessing most of us have not crossed 100 on the highway let alone racing at that speed. Let alone hit and ran. And because he hit and ran we can only assume he was sober. Maybe some of us have done this and we knew that each single one of those would land us in deep deep shit. I hope he gets off light but this was another level of stupid that I’m not going to even begin to justify |

I've stated in both threads that I do not believe he should be thrown in jail. I stated that the police should process him like they would any other person that did this which includes the opportunity to post bail. I don't believe he should get prison time for this at all. I never called for 8 games. Myself, I think he gets 4 and it gets talked down to 2. No, not because he could have killed someone but because he was reckless, caused an accident, and fled the scene of an accident. Mother ****ers just gotta go out of their way to create positions that don't exist so they can have something to be angry at. |
