They were mostly garbage against the run though which obviously matches up well with KC. It’s a big if, but IF they can stay healthy in the secondary and pass rush they have the pieces to give KC fits. Getting a dependable third option in the passing game goes a long way towards making the offense more unpredictable and dangerous. That and actually leaning on the run game when called for, but I think by now we know that’s never going to happen under Reid.

The Jags committed a potential $114 MILLION to 2 receivers who combined for 1528 yards and 6 tds last season. Calvin Johnson who once put up nearly 1700 yards and 16 TD’s IN ONE SEASON made $112 MILLION his entire career.

Think the majority of those yards came when Derwin got injured....which to be fair, is basically 98% of the time.

DJ Jones was productive last year for the 49ers -
56 tackles, 2 sacks, 10 TFL, 2 FF.

He is a good player, but Denver has a little less money now with a $30 M deal.

Say we sign Landry as our WR #2 in the slot, is WR still a priority in the draft? Maybe we still want a deep threat to create space for our other threats, but hard to find someone faster than Hardman.

We need a young receiver regardless, so I would say yes.

I think we draft one in the first three rounds, regardless of who we sign.

It's a nice add and positions KC nicely. I think Reid + whatever they can get with the extra 30-40 million keeping Mathieu would have required is better than Mathieu alone.

Rookie WR’s historically have not had an immediate impact in Andy Reid’s offense.

Hardman and Tyreek probably have the best rookie WR seasons in Andy’s offense but they were not starting WR’s and were more of gadget guys (especially Tyreek in his rookie season).

That’s why addressing WR in free agency is a top priority.

The fact that he’s not thanking the Chiefs makes me feel like he’s not.

Man I hope it’s us. The top 5 players in the secondary would be pretty well set. The depth can be filled in through the draft or redemption projects.

Focus on the pass rush with a FA or two and early in the draft.
