Terez brought up Talib as the Rams wanna trade him.

Last year of his deal so you aren’t strapped to him. |
If I’m LA, I’d trade him to KC to spite those ****ing Patriots
|
**** it never mind, he’s on IR
|
I'm sure the fins would trade Raekwon McMillan for the right amount.

We don’t need DBs omg. We need linebackers who can cover
|
I think we're gonna need a CB soon. Breeland's shoulder is ****ed.
|
This team is much better than the day they took the field in Jacksonville. Hardman, Rankin, Thornhill and Saunders have really come on and we’ve got a steal in Ogbah.
We just need to get a backer with range. That’s the only huge glaring weakness on the team. This team is so loaded if they can just get healthy. That’s all we need. |

Maybe we go to more 3 safety sets and give Dirty failing Dan or Watts a chance because the 3 stooges we are using are clearly ****ing terrible!!! |
Sorenson sucks ass too, Jones ran by him like he was stuck in the ground.
|
Sorenson play 62% of the defensive snaps yesterday

This defense is highly paid and under talented, no amount of scheme is going to change it.

Ok, just send a R2 to Denver for Harris... agree to give him a nice 3-4 year deal that is loaded up to just be a 2 year deal or something.
Sounds like the Eagles really want him - so jump in and make Elway an offer he can't refuse. |
I really like Pugs idea of Schobert. Solid LB and can cover really good. No idea if he’s available tho
|
I’m going to hate myself for saying this....but throw a 6th round pick at the Giants for Jenkins.
And then offer up a 4th to the Dolphins for McMillian or the Browns for Schobert |
I’m only okay if we trade for a CB who is controllable and can replace Breeland after this year
|
Looks like Schobert is a no.....

Also, Joe Schobert is absolute dog shit at middle linebacker. I'm tired of browns fans acting like hes good. They need three of their better defenders to get healthy and back
They also need a few war daddies in the middle of the defense at lber |

You’re a worthless poster here. |
Aaron Rodgers was 11-11 for 183 yards throwing at Ben Nieman, Anthony Hitchens and Damien Wilson tonight

At the same time we have two guys who are ‘coverage LBs’ in DOD and Lee. So is it really a need? You aren’t going to get much better than that on the trade block.
Truth is, no LB is shutting down an Aaron Jones or James White type of RB. You have to scheme it different to mitigate those plays. |
Complete coverage backers that can defend the run and pass are really rare. Says a lot that the Steelers traded up to get Devin Bush.
|
Also why did Niemann plays Jones 10 yards off the ball. Get in his face Niemann. If he scores a TD games over anyways. Take the chance and press him and disrupt his route. Everyone saw what was coming

Leonard Williams to the Giants for a 3rd and a 5th....
|
Yeah no thanks
|
Why are the 2-6 Giants buyers at the deadline??
I just looked it up. Williams only has 8 games left on his contract and the Giants are 2-6. Basically gave up a 3rd and a 5th for what??? |
Quote:

That is a lot to give for a guy who could walk in a few months

The hell is going on? The teams that should be selling are buying.

Didn’t need Leonard. Saunders has been money

Pairing him in the middle with DeMarcus Lawrence is a nice young front of DTs. |

I’m not sure there’s a move available for KC to make that truly makes sense in the short and long term.
I don’t see us getting any player that makes the difference when it comes to winning or losing at NE. |
Sorenson is turrible.
Chiefs need a legit Mike. One that plays downhill, can flow to hit the gaps and sheds blockers. The difference between a top LBr and meh is their read reaction time. We're talking about maybe a second difference, but that's the critical second that turns 3-5 yard runs into little or no gain, and 18+ yard runs into 15 or less. Adding a D lineman will be marginal at best compared with getting a LB who has the lateral quickness to play sideline to sideline. There's a reason why LB is traditionally the position that racks up the most tackles, and I've always firmly believed that your line clogs and holds the point of engaging the blockers for the LBrs to flow to fill the gaps and attack at the point & make the stop. Almost 80% of long runs are when the oline can get a 2nd level block or the LBr gets washed out. Guys like Seau, Brooks had ridiculously quick read & reaction time, and that meant they rarely got caught flat footed or gave ground biting on the fake. I'd also like them to look at adding an OLB - namely one that can drop into coverage & cover RBs the outlets & underneath in zone or in man even if it requires a hybrid with help over the top. |
Veach needs to draft a solid LB with our first round pick. CB is deep this year

I’d see what it would take to get McMillian but I don’t see the Dolphins wanting to trade him.
|
If we aren't working the trade market for a LB, could Veach at least pretend to care about the absolute dearth of talent at LB and bring in guys like Brown, Marshall, and Foster to try out? Please? Niemann and Lee ****ing suck and you aren't even giving O'Daniel a chance, so there's 3 slots right ****ing there.
|
The Giants are remaking their team, can't say I blame them, they're about to really not have any big contracts on the roster.

McMillan has a PFF score of 70.4 and is rated as lock solid vs the pass. DO IT VEACH!!

Ogletree is available. He had 12 tackles against New England so that's something.

I'm sure that Veach wants to trade for reinforcements but make no mistake there won't be any bargain. Any trade for a decent LB or CB will cost a lot. And that's the very reason why many players rumored to possibly be traded won't be traded.

Niemann played 11 passing plays last night. Seemed like every time he was in he was getting burnt

Quote:
Cap hits of $10 million and $9 million over the next 2 years. When they're already carrying Hitchens and his immovable contract, can they really go spending $20 million on off-ball linebackers? Preston Brown isn't as good as Ogletree but his contract makes him a lot more feasible under the cap. Maybe you make him the Mike and move Hitchens into the Will. Not a lot of great options. |
Quote:
He's a liability in coverage. He'd be Reggie Ragland in a lot of ways. Solid run defender but just not versatile enough to justify a significant investment. |
@AlbertBreer: New York teams might not be done dealing either. Giants have actively shopped CB Janoris Jenkins. And the Jets have made WR Robby Anderson available.
May want to grab Jenkins as depth at this point |
The Giants would probably move Jenkins and Ogletree for nothing just to dump the contracts.
|
Jenkins contract is 14.5 mil. I’d rather get Howard for that price

Natch. I don't think he's starting caliber at this point and once again, CB just isn't the damn problem right now. It's linebacker. I'd take him if they cut him but I'm not burning that kind of cap rollover on a guy that doesn't solve the major problems on this defense. |
LB is all I want in a trade. DL is really good tbh. Nnadi and Saunders are impressive and DBs are solid. Our LBs yikes
|
wow...this is apparently the first time that the Giants and Jets have ever traded with each other.
