Peters just said tyreek hill is one of the best wide receivers now and that he's more than just speed.
What's the news on Conley? Distant second or tied in a 3 way battle with Robinson/Chesson? |
I'm amazed by how much the mods allow with the trash talking on Smith.. You know .. Our undisputed QB for this season
|
Smith connected to hill 40 yards beating out Peters, per Peter Sweeney
|
Maybe we wouldn't be so hard on Alex Smith if he would throw to open guys in the playoff game so that we may go down and score points to win it?
So he has to prove himself every week or he is bound to lose his job because Patrick Mahomes II will be nipping at his heels. Fact not Fiction. |

378 yds, 4 TDs 0 INTs, 8 rush, 57 yds... Those are Alexs stats against the Colts in that playoff gm when our D let him down... Lets not forget what Alex has done in the past for us. Obviously the Steelers did a great job on Alex last season in the playoffs but if We didn't have 50 drops that game and our run D didn't suck we win. Plenty of blame to go around, not just Alex's fault. |

Geno had nothing to do with it. You don't understand and probably won't, but I couldnt care less. Move this to another thread and you will be in the romper room only. |
It didn't help that Bell ran for 178 yards vs us

Anytime a poster mentions Pat Mahomes, you feel the need to mention that "Smith is the number one" even when Alex Smiths name wasnt even whispered. Everyone gets it. You love Alex. Not all of us do, and most of us are excited about an actual potential franchise QB for the first time since Len Dawson. Stop mucking up threads with this shit. Every thread in this place is full of your Alex masturbation. No one gives a shit except you and penbrook. You guys should just make your own OFFICIAL Alex Smith Circlejerk thread |

Hey BEP, you should post more in the football forum. |

I'm excited to see Wintzmann. He's got all the athletic and body traits the same as Ehinger, but he needs some coaching. If he's better than Fulton, we're in business.
And here we were thinking this would be Damien Mama. |

I want to know how Dee Ford is doing and what expectations to have with him.
I think he did great the first half of the season last year but fell off when he was lined up on the right side vs LT when Houston returned. I'm wanting him to pick it up on the right side and be effective and give Eric Fisher a real battle in camp making each other that much better. I think we got to count on Ford to add another gear to his game for taking over Tamba Hali those are big shoes to fill. |
It can and will be tough to remain patient with Mahomes and whatever results he produces through camp and preseason.
When they play SF at Arrowhead in a couple weeks, he could throw 2 TDs, he could throw 2 INTs-- it doesn't really mean all that much in the long term picture. But damn is it going to be an exciting time for the entire organization and fan base. |
Terez Paylor reported that Tanoh Kpassagnon tore up the 1v1 drills today. Said he beat Fisher a couple of times.

I don't think he will have a problem handling the snap and winging it down the field but making sure guys are where they are suppose to be is a litmus test, and recognizing the defense. |

Jokes aside, that's a good sign. |

Change your word usage in the future, please. |
Tanoh was reportedly used as a down lineman and an edge rusher.
If he can rush the passer in both positions, look out. |

Holy shit! This is awesome! Kareem Hunt with the one handed grab! |

Dude looks awesome |
Any word on Chris Jones?

Logan whooped Morse, too. It would be a game changer if both these guys can play at a high level. |

Pete Sweeney says that CJ Spiller looks like 'a guy who belongs on the 53' so far.
I can't see us cutting West. Perhaps we keep 4 backs again like we normally have. |

I'd rather see 5 RB's on the roster rather than 4 TE's.

Here's Tanoh vs Fisher. The fact he's dominating Fisher in pure strength is reason enough for excitement.
https://mobile.twitter.com/ChiefsRep...56792304336899 I can't wait to see this guy play. |
The last time we saw Fisher he was getting his ass kicked by a 40-year old, and now he's getting his ass kicked by a rookie.
I'm not sure his career is trending upward. |

Not sure anyone can tell much at this point but does anyone have any observations on Mitchell at CB? Is he looking like our #2 opposite Peters?

For me that #2 CB spot is going to be pretty critical. Nice to see some competition and hopefully depth.

Dane are you a fan of Nelson? I'm not at all. Seems like he never breaks on the ball and opponents have a high completion % against him.

The most egregious was vs. Mike Evans in the Tampa Bay game subbing for Peters. Ugly is a kind word for his performance that day. |

My God, Eric. What was he hoping to accomplish with that pad level? |
How did Patrick look today? Still leaving fans, coaches and this franchise in awe of his talent?

Mitchell played well last season. If he can build off of the last handful of games he stepped in and played well in and improve, then Chiefs will be fine at CB. Nelson plays well in the slot. Hopefully Gaines gets it this yr and stays healthy. Highly doubtful on either imo.
Only real concern I have about Chiefs D is the run defense, front 7 stopping the run etc. Need to be able to stop teams running games on 1st down. Get teams into 2nd n long. How much is losing Poe going to hurt or will we see any drop off? OLB/pass rush has a lot of what ifs. supposedly houston is gonna be 100%? we'll see. hopefully he's the houston of old, the Chiefs really need him to be. Because Hali is old and Dee Ford loves to disappear half of the time. Good coverage in secondary can only help so much. This defense needs to get to the QB...often. |
Did you not see Poe play on the field? He was a liability in a lot of games.
