I wonder if Clark is moving with haste on this d/t the fact that some of these players will make their decision to resign based on the coaching hire.

Wait, is this Petro or Babb talking?
|
If Reid is hired......his priorities better be to re-sign Bowe AND Albert.

Kent Somers @kentsomers
clarify. Horton says #azcardinals are his #1 choice. Would love to stay. Likes the org, fan base, way he's been treated. |

It just is. I could argue with it all day, point out New England only has 3 wins against playoff teams... but it's just pointless on this board everyone is so wrong about Peyton Manning all the time it's sickening. I hate it. I'm a Chiefs fan. But at least I'm realistic about Peyton Manning and what he means to our division, to our head coaching search, and to our short term happiness as Chiefs fans. At least I'm smart enough to realize we're in wild card or nothing mode for the next 3 years minimum |

Clark issued a company wide survey asking about the work environment after Babb released Arrowhead Anxiety
|
Why is Petro babbling about Clark bring a crew with him on the interviews?

BUT watch Peyton Manning you casual fan you and you'll realize he doesn't take hits...he'll (and smartly I will add) fetal up and move on to the next play that's the smart move when you're a QB who can consistently pick up 3rd and longs... Peyton taking hits hurts his team WAY more than him fetal'ing up...unlike Matt Cassel with the Chiefs when you have Peyton Manning the last thing you want for him to do...ever...is to stand in there and extend a play and risk a Roethlisberger type injury... |
If the Cardinals are smart they'll promote Horton to HC and keep their up and coming GM that's out interviewing right now.

Did you not watch the Donks on Sunday? It took a few games for them to get up to speed, but that machine is rolling now. |
Babb clearly trying to find his way back to KC after Pioli leaves.

do I think Denver wins it all? Yes. They are my #1 choice, New England #2. I think the "Super Bowl" will be the AFCC game. MY POINT IS Denver is going to have a home playoff game every year Manning is their QB. what they do in that game, or following games, is a moot point to this discussion. That home game, though, directly effects us, as Chiefs fans. Does this make sense? I'm not debating how good they are this year or how good they will be now that they are the #1 seed... |

95 percent done deal, prior to an interview. Hell I wasn't even pointing directly at you. Just kinda in the direction. LMAO. People needed to take all this twitter bullshit with a gain of salt is all I'm saying Posted via Mobile Device |

He thinks Pioli is back with absolute power. He honestly thinks a guy like Dirk Koetter is going to be the coach here. |

The Chiefs need denfensive lineman, a true starting ILB next to DJ, a starting safety and a starting CB opposite Flowers. If the new staff switches to a 4-3, they'll be even further behind. On offense, the Chiefs need at least two QB's, help at receiver (which could be in really poor shape if Bowe departs), another tight end and quite possibly, a starting left tackle. |
he also wrote a nice piece about Kyle Shanahan as well

6 of Denver's wins were vs 3 shitty AFCW teams. They lost vs their toughest opponents. They are very good, but we will see just how good very soon. |

Maybe I'm wrong - they sure are peaking at the right time, and winning the games they needed to win at the time to win them (Nov & Dec) but I don't see Manning as having the Superman cape under his jersey like everyone else. That team is beatable - give the Chiefs a real QB, some real coaching, the other half of a secondary, and some offensive compliments to Bowe and JC...the Chiefs can certainly battle Den for supremacy in the division. Oak and SD are shit. Plus, we have the NFC East next year - no cakewalk. It will be hard for the Chiefs to have a winning record next year, no matter what, and Den will have a hard time duplicating their record this year, though they could probably win this division easily at 11-5 or 10-5 (much like KC in 2010) or even 9-7. Point is...Chiefs will probably have a decent draft position in 2014 as well. It's possible, if everything goes right (Pioli is gone, Reid or Chip Kelly comes here, draft the right QB, good sound drafts and FA signings, etc.) the Chiefs can totally battle the Broncos for division supremecy in a year or two, much as theydid during Elway's prime in the 90's. |

Could totally see that happening. 100% doesn't mean we are in good shape to ever take this division with Peyton Manning at QB over in Denver he can choke all he wants in the playoffs; the fact of the matter is, he's still there to choke while the Chiefs only chance will be to fight for a wild card and I can't wait for that AFCC game. It'll be more exciting to me than the Super Bowl. |

now replace the 'give the Chiefs' with 'give the Raiders' or 'give the Chargers' and you're absolutely right! If, by some miracle, we land a franchise QB, a GREAT coach, 2 solid secondary personnel, a few great compliments to Charles and Bowe...and a few other pieces that JUST fit!!! then JUST MAYBE, with a bounce or two, we can compete with what Denver already has! I'm done living pipe dreams. I prefer being realistic. |

I'm sorry, you're just wrong. There is a reason why Peyton Manning and Tom Brady haven't lost their divisions for close to, if not over a decade. (not counting the 11 win Cassel year in NE) This isn't the Marty era...this isn't 'defense wins' era... that argument is totally flawed; just 100% I don't know how to tell this to you guys...I love your faith and your ability to hold on. I know I can enjoy a new coach and a new (Geno) QB...I think it'll be great. But I'm also going to be realistic and realize we have no shot at this division for at least 3 years. NONE IT WON'T HAPPEN Unless you guys hire Tonya Harding to take out Peyton Manning. Then we'll talk. |
