Most of the big box retailers still do that....they want to become the largest customer so they can demand price concessions or to figure out how to make the same item cheaper and drive the company to more concessions or out of business.

Lets talk more Tacos. I had some delicious Chicken Tacos the other day.

Sounds yummy! We have made them a couple times with flounder and salmon, healthy and tasty!

A white corn one with a soft tortilla around it as a "crunch wrap" type deal.

Grab a soft taco tortilla and smear a thin layer of refried beans on it then wrap it around a typical crispy beef taco.

Me and a manager that worked under me used to make them at Taco Bell in the early 90's. At some point Taco Bell released them as double decker tacos, then discontinued them. Tasty, doesn't fall apart, more filling than a single normal taco.

In HS I would get stoned and eat two of them and they would fill you right up even if you had the munchies.

Taco Bell really ****ed that up. The original item was perfect, but it was meant to be a limited time only special. They would bring it back, but only intermittently, so a stable supply of ingredients was never established and quality could not be maintained. You might remember the Chilito taking its place at one point. That was to mask the issue by pretending it was a different item. I think they finally gave up.

OK, La Tiara fans. I've been made aware of a pretty decent alternative that's made locally. Same thin and crispy style.

Art's Molino & Market. Just off I-70 and 169, near where Slap's BBQ is.

My mother said that Art's is what everyone bought before LaTiara came around, I'll be getting those too.

The two chicken tacos I had at Habaneros the other day were the best I have ever eaten. I noticed they have four locations, but didn't make a note of their where. Their home made chips were incredible.
