Agreed.

When it was 3rd and 2, run the ball. 4th down? Go for it and win....

That's IF it gets to 4th down. Run the ball and the clock, first and foremost. Leave them less time. If you don't get it, call a slant or a drag route, hooks, a sluggo...and if you don't get it, they've got about 40 seconds to get a TD with zero timeouts.

Instead, Reid gave them the ball at the 60 with over a minute left. ****ing STUPID. No balls + No situational awareness = another loss.

I agree totally with you, but I think the Titans did have a timeout on 3rd down. Mahomes went down and made them burn it instead of throwing it away which was wise.

Right, they did. So they would've burned it on a run, regardless. Still should've went for it on 4th down and if you don't get it, make them go 80 yards with no timeouts.

No. They had zero timeouts.

You run the ball, and if you get the first, it's over.

If you don't get it, let the play clock run to 1 second, call the TO Reid WASTED after the Tits' TD, and run a pass play. If you get it, game over. If you don't, you've left them less than 40 seconds to go 80 yards with zero timeouts.

Make them go farther with less time.

Kicking the FG made zero sense, especially since they zipped down the field and scored with 23 seconds left, then got the 2pt conversion.

If you would run the ball on 3rd, then run a play on 4th, they would not have had time to go 80 yards. Those 23 seconds would've been ours.

Jesus, ****...MATHMATICALLY, the FG made ZERO sense. It gave them the game. 1st down wins. FG is an 8 pt lead. They ran down the field and scored the TD and 2pt anyway. We would've lost in OT when they won the coin toss, just like in the AFCCG.

You play to win the game. Period. Reid has zero balls.

They had a TO left when we ran the 3rd down play. Regardless if we ran it (what I would've done) or ran the TE screen (or whatever that was), they call a TO immediately after.

Sorry, I was going to write more, but something happened, and I completely lost track of what I was going to say.

Yep. You have the best offense in the league and 2 plays to get 2 yards and win the game. But instead you trot out the kicker, who struggled to make extra points all day, and in fact DID miss one, for a medium-long field goal. Which even if he makes it, you know there's a damn good likelihood they come back and tie the ****er anyway. Dumb. Dumb. DUMB.

For all the beautiful plays he draws up, he sure can be stupid.

He's really, really good at designing plays and installing an offense when he has a mediocre QB, I'll give him that.

This year, it's like he gets googly eyes at Mahomes and just starts calling vertical routes willy-nilly.

If he would pretend like he has Alex Smith or Matt Moore and integrate a running game with some max protect, 21 and 12 personnel, misdirection, multiple looks with pre-snap motion and shifts, we'd be unstoppable.

But with Mahomes, he goes spread 5 wide vertical so much, and with the offensive line in TATTERS, that's just STUPID.

Megatron96 11-11-2019 04:58 AM

We ran the ball 24 times or something like that. Damien ran it 19 times.

All but one of our drives were at least 9 plays. Dink nd dunk stuff. 6 drives were longer than 5 minutes.

We scored on 8 out of 11 drives.

Basically we ran into he same offense that we ran with Moore, we were just more efficient.

This isn't even what happened yesterday. The offense ran a lot of short routes.

You go too far sometimes.

Why Not? 11-11-2019 07:33 AM

You may be on to something Pete. This next game is the key. Win, and the ship probably ends up righted for at least the division. Lose, and the ceiling probably looks like 9-7 and fighting for a WC spot.

ILChief 11-11-2019 08:03 AM

Chicago will be eliminated and the fan base will be calling for trubiskys head by then

We have 3 division games left at home so if we win those we go 9-7. Probably not going to get it done.

Chargers in Mexico? 50-50
Chicago on the road? Doubtful
NE on the road? Doubtful

Even if we ball out the rest of the season we are 10-6. That may get the division but the Raiders have a very, very soft schedule. Seriously, they may have 1 more loss on their schedule and that is us.

Games like today (Titans) are what kill your season. 99% chance to win with under 2 mins left and you lose. Things had to line up almost miraculously for that to happen yet they did.

Injuries are a problem
Turnovers are a bigger problem
Coaching right now is a huge problem

Hard to imagine having Mahomes as a QB and not making the playoffs but that is where things are headed right now.

You'll beat the Bears. Their offense is awful. Chargers OL is a total mess. You likely win that. Maybe lose to the Pats depending on how the health of your OL goes.

As much as I'd like to say otherwise, history shows that Carr will not show up in the game at KC for the Raiders.

Chiefs would have to really screw the pooch to not win the division.

To be fair we only squeaked it out by 5 wins.

If you ever find yourself thinking "Man, pete is making a good point here and I agree with him" - about anything, ever: go to the medicine cabinet and take your lithium.
