Pawn, we love ya but you were swallowing Cassel condoms on a daily basis back then...and in the big picture, those of us that wanted to suck for luck were right.

Luck is and will be the best player in the league for the next decade.

This is the likely truth of it. Just happens to seem sad that people can't or won't enjoy any success in the meantime because of it. I won't judge that harshly (and yeah, I did before)... as I have not walked in the Chiefs' suffering as others have.

It's ****ing football. It's entertainment. Stop making yourself seem like a battered spouse. You can't get excited because this team wasn't built with who you wanted and you're going to cry and troll about it even after wins.

You ****ing devoted time to the Save our Chiefs movement and now's the time you want to be a whiny vagina constantly? When this team is beating good teams on the road.

Wahhh, my QB didn't throw for 300 yards. Wahhh, I wanted Geno Smith.

Get a ****ing grip.

Glad to see more and more people calling Go Chiefs out on his still on going bullshit.

I know it's hard for dumbasses like you that only knew the Chiefs existed a year and a half ago, but the Chiefs have only been winning regular season games for the last 2 decades.

He doesn't care about the Chiefs. He just wants to be worshipped as some kind of a football guru.

Unfortunately for him, that ship buried itself in the silt some time ago.

You'd NOT call them liars when they couldn't?

It should be a simple matter to point everyone to my hundreds of spam posts...if it wasn't a lie.

You would react EXACTLY the same way as me...

By demanding proof...since it SHOULD be easy.

I don't know how you can feel like this after last season's post season's game. It's not as if the Chiefs were blown out. The injuries in that game were unfathomable and still the Chiefs were a pointed toe away from winning the game. And, as improbable as it seemed pre-season, I think this team is better than the team last year - and is playing tough and beating teams with a winning record. Should they make it into the post season this year, it will be by beating teams in one of the leagues tougher schedules so they will be better prepared than they were last year as well.

I'm not saying you should go full rainbows and butterflies if that is not your style, but to categorically say that they can't or won'twin a post season game seems like too far a swing on the pendulum to me.

You could have said that about the Royals as well. Have they won a post season game lately?

hard to argue with that...

On the surface, I disagree.. just when I think about the WRs, OL, and injuries to the defensive starters.

.. but you are right. All of the deficiencies could improve enough to give em a legit shot.

Better ( for me, at least ) to simply go game by game... not get ahead in worrying about the postseason... not yet.

Thats probably (in your defense) because you havent been a chiefs fan for very long..

Youll have to pardon long time fans for not allowing the cruel goddess of hope to infect our hearts only to rip it away violently, a la "the colts playoff game" last year.

I would be super duper happy beyond words if we win even one wildcard playoff game.

I hate that 'monkey' on our backs....I just think the odds are pretty long, considering we will have to play an away game against a divisional winner week 1 of the playoffs...

Anyway...don't mistake the mindset of trying to keep our hopes 'tempered' (pun intended) with just WAITING to go crazy if we actually pull this off.

The teams that are leading their divisions got better from last season to this.

Kansas City did not. You can argue they're as good as last year playing a tougher schedule, but that's still not better.

And we've watched this approach before. Marty/Carl sat on their hands and didn't do anything because they felt they had enough. Pissholey, same thing. "We're drafting for depth now."

This I don't care about. Alex Smith was Dorsey's best use of draft picks so far...

This seems, and I may be misreading, like an 'other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?' post.

Clay isn't about refining coaching and playcalling, or a comprehensive assessment and upgrade of the roster.

Clay is about trolling that each and every Chiefs fan woe can be thrown at the feet of Alex, Fisher and ultimately Clark.

He's picked the 3 things least likely to change in a good, great many years, and obsessed on them to the effect of complete tunnel vision. He's so intent on being a master troll, that he's neglected the rest of the world, including the NFL world, to his detriment.

For him the NFL exists solely to 'GIF up' Alex and Fisher, and snark from the cheap seats.

What do the Royals have to do with the Chiefs?

The Chiefs are still 3rd in the division and 9th in the conference. They wont be making the playoffs at this rate.

WRs are really the same that we had last year. and still we came within a pointed toe of winning a playoff game. And... DAT>McCluster. (It's early, but I think the Chiefs are better with that "trade".) Also, Kelce>McGrath.

OL is a train wreck, no doubt, but somehow they are getting it done and playing better than expected and will only improve the longer we go along here...

Injuries to the Defense - this one I thought would be the killer to the Chiefs after game 1. I didn't think the team had any hope after that game. Yet here they are at 3 and 3 (with 5 heavily contested games against Broncos, Chargers, Niners, Patriots and Miami - no slouches) and the defense coming in as one of the better defenses in the league. Go figure....

Amen to that brother. One game at a time.
