From what I've heard, Geno isn't nearly as good as advertised. Basically all his good games came against terrible teams. Against Texas and Texas Tech (better quality teams) he played average at best. I'm not sold on him being better than Matt Barkley.

Don't get me wrong, hes good...but I wouldn't say as good as many here seem to be thinking. Against Texas Tech and Texas, he completed 52% of his passes. The guy is obviously a talent, but #1 overall talent? I remain skeptical. He's definitely top 5.

Mo Carthon doesn't know the difference between an I formation and Trips.

If the Chiefs want to guarantee they get the number one overall choice, he's the man.

lol why is everyone so confrontational? Its just an opinion. Obviously I would love to have Geno Smith on the team...But lets not get ahead of ourselves. We all remember how Vince Young was supposed to be the next great quarterback...I'm just skeptical about Geno Smith being the best QB in the draft.

His great games came against vastly inferior opponents like Marshall, James Madison, Maryland and Baylor. (Baylor has one of the worst defenses in the nation, and maryland isn't exactly stiff competition) Against Texas and Texas Tech, he averaged 270 yards, 2 touchdowns and a 60 percent completion percentage. (52% in the 49-14 loss against Texas Tech) And lets not forget the fact that he has had some damn good receivers that make his job easier.

Look, I'm not saying hes bad. He has HUGE upside, and I would be thrilled if we drafted him. But if Barkely is there, I'm not sure Geno Smith would be the better option for us...Of course this all hinges on us getting the first overall pick.
