I hope like hell the guy is available when the Chiefs pick. If he is, and Scott passes him up, this place might burn down.

And Wilson too low.

Wilson will be the 1st or 2nd qb to get drafted this year.

O.city 09-25-2012 08:59 PM

Smith, Barkley, or Wilson will probably be available when we pick.

It seems that there won't be a ton of teams looking for one. That being said with the rookie scale you never know. There probably will be a team you wouldn't guess take a 1st round QB, perhaps one that should that won't(hopefully not KC).

I think at the very least, KC will be in a position where they can move up and get one of the top 3. If Barkley comes out rated the highest, it might even help us more.

We aren't moving up to draft a QB, with Pioli as the GM. So we better hope like hell one falls into our lap.

Even if there aren't a ton of teams that may be looking, QBs will be going off the board. There's a handful of teams that need a QB and there are a handful of teams that don't necessarily need a QB but probably wouldn't hesitate to pick one if one just happened to land in their lap or an opportunity presented itself where they could easily trade up to get one.

I would love to be able to say I believe he will but I can't. Even if we need one to fall I don't think we need to be 2-14 for it to happen.

Watch out for teams with older yet still decent QBs. They can draft one of the top QBs and have him sit for a couple of years learning from the veteran. When that vet retires or is released then the young one steps in without the normal growing pains associated with rookie QBs.

O.city 09-25-2012 09:21 PM

There are probably about 4 or 5 teams this year that will be looking for a QB.

I think if he continues this path, he will probably end up winning the Heisman and go pretty high.

That says alot because RGIII is a HIGHLY underrated pocket passer.

Yeah, but I don't think they will be looking to draft one that high for that situation. It would be more of a Mallet situation.

I was saying at this point in time, in their respective careers.

I understand, this just speaks well for Smith.
